In 2007, the Institute for Integrative Genome Biology (http://www.genomic.ucr.edu/) allocated to the Genetics, Genomics and Bioinformatics Graduate Program $3,000 of IIGB funds towards graduate student travel to conferences or other scientific meetings.

Due to budget issues, there are no plans for future awards.
